In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Hotlanta Strikers 2027 Netball Tournament (the "Event") scheduled for March 13–14, 2027, and any related activities, I, the undersigned participant (or the parent or legal guardian acting on behalf of a minor participant), do hereby voluntarily agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Assumption of Risk. I acknowledge and fully understand that participation in netball and related tournament activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, permanent disability, and even death. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, and accept full responsibility for my participation.
2. Release of Liability. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Hotlanta Strikers Sporting Club, its officers, officials, agents, volunteers, sponsors, and employees, as well as the owners and lessors of the premises used to conduct the Event (collectively, the "Releasees"), from any and all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages arising out of or related to my participation in the Event, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.
3. Medical Treatment. I consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of an injury, accident, or illness during the Event. I understand that I am solely responsible for any and all costs associated with such medical treatment and that I have adequate health insurance to cover any such costs, or I accept responsibility for them myself.
4. Compliance with Rules. I agree to abide by all rules, regulations, and codes of conduct established by the Hotlanta Strikers Sporting Club and the tournament officials. I understand that unsafe, unsportsmanlike, or disruptive behavior may result in my immediate removal from the Event without refund.
5. Photography and Media. I grant the Hotlanta Strikers Sporting Club the irrevocable right to photograph, film, and record my likeness and to use such media for promotional, educational, and archival purposes without compensation.
6. Governing Law. This Waiver and Release of Liability shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising under this agreement shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the State of Georgia.
I have read this Waiver and Release of Liability, fully understand its terms, and understand that I have relinquished substantial rights by signing it. I sign it freely and voluntarily, without any inducement, and I agree to be bound by its terms.
